Mary Batoff was called to the Ontario Bar in 1993 following which she joined Montreal Trust. Since September 1996, Mary has served as legal counsel and corporate secretary with publicly traded companies in the mining and exploration sector, including Breakwater Resources Ltd., William Resources Inc., and Black Hawk Mining Inc.

Mary joined North American Palladium in April 2000. Her responsibilities include corporate and securities regulatory compliance, transaction and litigation management, and providing counsel to management and the board of directors.
